A FIELD OF BLUE BONNETS

As I walk in a field of bluebonnets,

I desire to compose for them sonnets.

The sweet fragrance fills my soul

until I am again whole.

I’m tired, but I smile

like I’ve walked a mile.

I’ll make my flowered bed

and rest my weary head.

My thoughts drift below,

somewhere over the rainbow.

REST FOR THE WEARY

Source:travel-story

The morning sun peeks through

the canopy of trees.

The blanket of color

covers me with its leaves.

I’m sheltered with

soft petals of pink,

like velvet sheets

splattered with pink ink.

I give a contented sigh

as my eyes soon grow teary.

A bed among the petals

offers rest for the weary.

FIELD OF BLUE

In the field of blue
I will roam.
In the ocean of flowers
I will be free.
In the sunshine
I will soar.
In this world
I will be happy.
Yes.
I will.

FRESH AND NEW

flowersgardenlove:
Fresh and new.
Fragrant and pretty.
Ready to bud.
Slightly green.
But eager.
Eager for the sunshine.
Eager for the morning dew.
Eager for life.
The perfect way to be.
Good morning pretty flowers.

THE BRIAR ROSE

slobbering:
Tristan Elwell ~ “Briar Rose
Evil can live among beauty.
Thorns can prick you and draw blood,
while its roses smell sweet and look beautiful.
Isn’t this true about all of nature?
You must take the good with the bad.
