RED SKY

The sky glows red
with anger.
It shrieks thunder.
It rains tears.
Lightning sizzles
across its angry face.
Wait.
Watch.
Listen.
The sky is still in command.
It shows its wrath.
Then it grows calm
and releases the blue skies.

IN THE RED SKY

A sliver in the red sky
Sparkling in its own right.
Higher than the birds can fly,
Stars bow to its greater might.

MY PLACE

Red glows the sky.
I can see it
from way up high.

The water below
like a mirror I
can say hello.

The wind comes in.
I am chilled from
windows too thin.

This is still my place,
I wouldn’t trade it
for any other place.

BLOOD RED

BLOOD RED
The wavering reflections of the red sky
mar the blue surface of the ocean.
The sun sets for the night,
hiding its face behind puffy clouds.
The sky reaches into its bag of tricks,
bringing out a yellow moon.
The water remains blood red
as the sky turns inky black.
A reflection from its depths
of the evil creatures rising.
Onto our crisp white shores they walk,
Leaving bloody footprints in the sand.

PUDDLES OF CRIMSON

colorful gradient 32289

Shades of red fall from the sky,
Reaching the ground in puddles of crimson.
Footsteps of The Dead linger around Oasis.
Taking their victims in their mighty thrall.
Red keeps falling from the darkening sky.
Covering the grass and trees with its hue.
My face burns hot from its touch.
My heart beats blood in quickening tempo.
The Dead are tracking me through the woods.
I will be one with them all too soon.

RED IN ITS ANGER

I can feel the storm approaching.
Moving closer to shore.
A spray of water in my face.
Salt in the air.
Palm trees swaying.
Sand rippling.
A wildness in the air.
Birds fleeing for safety.
Waves crashing.
Sky turning darker.
Red in its anger.
Roaring its fury.
Raining down tears.
When will it end?
Once the sky is finished.
Once it’s calmed down.
The sun will peek out.
The birds will return.
And all will be right
with the world.
Tantrum over.

RED SKY

f0r3ver-kisses:

The sky is angry.
Its face is turning red.
It’s not happy.
It might shriek thunder.
It might rain tears.
It might turn its hair on fire.
Wait.
Watch.
Listen.
The sky is in command.
It will show its wrath.
