STAND TALL

Don’t step on the cracks.
We’ve been warned since birth.
What will happen?
Will we break our mother’s back?
That won’t happen.
But we don’t want to fall
between the cracks in life.
We don’t want to be lost
in the sea of humanity.
We want to be noticed.
Noticed in our own right.
For what we believe in.
For what we do.
So don’t fall between the cracks.
Hold your head up high.
Stand straight.
Stand tall.

ROADBLOCKS IN LIFE

Life can follow a straight path.
A perfect path for us to follow.
At times this path can
be filled with manholes.
Roadblocks on our journey.
We must overcome these
and all others,
before we can ride on.
Why are some paths straighter?
Why are some paths easier?
It is not our place to ask
but only to follow.

THE STRAIGHT AND NARROW

flowersgardenlove:

What if our paths in life were obvious?
Set up before us.
Clearly outlined.
No branches.
No deviations.
Just the straight and narrow.
Would life be simpler?
Would life be easier?
Or would it be boring?
Too obvious.
Too narrow.
Too defined.
No choices.
No chances.
No deviations.
Definitely boring.

A COUNTRY ROAD

alexmilsommedia:

A lonely country road.
Will it lead you to a peaceful place?
A place far from crowds of people.
A quiet place, where the only sounds
are the chirping of birds.
Will it be a straight road or one
with winding curves?
A road is like life.
It can be straight and easy,
or winding and dangerous.
Which would you prefer?
A little danger can make life
a bit more interesting.
