DARK HOUSE

phoenix-in-ashes:

DARK HOUSE

Enticing.
Dark.
Deserted.
Dusty.
Eerie.
So many words
to describe the house.
Afraid.
Alone.
Reluctant.
Uneasy.
Too many words to describe
how I feel inside this house.
I will take it step by step.
One creaky step
followed by another.
Until I make it to the top.
What will I find there?
Creak, creak.
We will find out together.
Creak, creak.
Those weren’t my creaks.
I’m not alone in the house.
I’m leaving.
Bye.

THE HOUSE

phoenix-in-ashes:
THE HOUSE

Enticing.
Dark.
Deserted.
Dusty.
Eerie.
So many words
to describe the house
and the winding staircase.
Afraid.
Alone.
Reluctant.
Uneasy.
Words to describe
how I feel inside
as I enter this house.
I will take it step by step.
One creaky step
followed by another.
Until I make it to the top.
What will I find there?
Creak, creak.
We will find out together.
Creak, creak.
Those weren’t my creaks.
I’m not alone in the house.
I’m leaving.
Bye.

COME PLAY ME

The house sits empty.
Deserted for years.
Dust its sole visitor.
The grand piano waits for a voice.
Someone to play its keys.
One last song before
it’s too late.
Before its beauty is lost.
Before it joins the dust.
Come play me.

THE HAUNTED HOUSE

n-ephthys:

I loved haunted houses.
The darker the better.
Who wants to join me?
It looks deserted and dusty.
I’m going up the stairs.
What’s that music?
Why are the piano keys
moving on their own?
Is someone here with us?
I hear the floor boards creaking
on the floor above.
I won’t be going upstairs.
Now I hear a moaning sound
coming from the hallway.
I’m not as brave as I thought I was.
Is that the front door that slammed shut?
I’m out of here!
