The stairs are slippery.
Why are we here?
Why are we going down
to the basement of End House?
We should have stayed
far away from this house.
Only bad things have happened here.
Strange lights in the dark of night.
People lost within its deserted walls.
We’re next.
The next victims.
The door just slammed shut.
It’s locked.
The floor is filled with water.
We can’t go back
but only forward.
The walls are shaking.
What’s that loud noise?
Cages are descending
from the ceiling.
They’re trying to catch us
with their pointy edges.
Circular saws are cutting
across the room,
looking for our heads.
We must make it across
the dark water—in one piece.
I can see steps in the distance.
A door is opening.
Maybe we could escape
from this hell.
Oh no!
What now?

Do you love haunted houses?
Houses that call to you?
They whisper your name.
You have no choice but to follow.
Follow the lit candles.
They are leading you further into the house.
Down the long and dark hallway.
To the stairs leading down to the basement.
Slippery stairs with no railing to hold onto.
Once you reach the bottom, the door slams shut.
You jiggle the door knob but it won’t budge.
You’re locked into the dark basement.
You run down the stairs and then sink
knee deep into a pool of water.
You hear clanging noises coming from above.
