THE HUNT

THE HUNT

It moves slowly.
In the dead of night.
Walking on silent feet.
It draws closer.
I dash into a building.
An empty school.
It soon follows.
It brings with it silence.
I can feel its presence.
Creeping closer.
I enter a deserted hallway.
I turn.
Shut my eyes.
And stand strong.
Darkness descends.
I fall into the dark abyss.

FLY FREE

In the dark, we fly free.
We’re not afraid to fall.
Above mountains and sea,
Goodbye to one and all.
Where will we land?
We do not care.
Could be the sand
or a hunter’s snare.

THE HUNT

The Hunt
sex-blood-and-death:
THE HUNT
It first comes slowly
in the dead of night.
Walking on silent feet,
it draws near.
You run faster,
but it speeds up.
You dash into a building,
an empty school.
It soon follows,
bringing with it a silence.
You can feel its presence
as it moves closer.
It follows you
down the deserted hallway.
You check the doors.
You jiggle the knobs.
They’re all locked.
You turn around
and stand strong.
Darkness falls
to encompass all.

Checking the doors.
Locked.

OUR GAMES HAVE JUST BEGUN --- THE DEAD GAME --- PART 50

The winds rush forth with open arms,
Crushing me into a cave of sand.
Darkness rushes to seal me in,
Flashes of light retreating in defeat.

I try to hold onto the reds and yellows,
But they fade into the expanding darkness.
The sand cascades in swirls of beige,
Soft but firm it holds me captive.

My fingers dig into the packed waves,
Leaving evidence of my unhappy plight.
I try to climb the growing piles
That continue to rise in my mounting despair.

My eyes focus on the hole open to the sky,
Desperately seeking a way out.
I am held tight in this evil creation,
A force of nature and hell combined.

A sound slowly creeps in from the opening,
Gaining volume and force on its way down.
It's the sound of laughter and glee
From the creature who desires me most.

THE DEAD GAME -- DAY 58

Linda shrieked as she rushed to the doorway that they’d just crossed through.  But the door was no longer there. It had been replaced with a solid wall. She ran her fingers along the surface. “Oh my God! Oh my God! This can’t be real! Where’s the stupid door?”  She searched for an opening.
“The script has already been written,” Todd said. “We have no choice but to follow the predetermined path in order to find our way out.  Hurry! Stay behind me! And don’t touch anything!” He pointed to the door that had just surfaced on the far wall between the doors to the “sauna” and “steam room.”  He continued, “We must exit through this new doorway and see where it leads us.”

THE DEAD GAME DAY 52

The animals’ noises grew louder and more vicious-sounding. Mike turned around to find the cages wide open. The animals were in the middle of the room, saliva dripping from their open mouths…advancing on them…stalking their new prey.
“Hurry up! Quickly open the door! The animals are loose and are coming toward us!” Mike could hear the sound of his own heart pounding in his ears.
“I can’t find the opening on my own! Help me! If we hurry, maybe we can get out of here in one piece!” David shouted at them. He was searching the bricks around the door to find the one that would open the huge metal door for them.
They joined him in the search.
Mike knew that they had only a few precious seconds to spare before they were eaten alive by the wild animals. He could hear them breathing right behind him. He imagined their hot, heavy breath on the back of his neck, their sharp teeth glistening, preparing to dig into his soft flesh. He closed his eyes in defeat.
“I found it!” screamed David. He pushed the lever that opened the door wide open. After they hurried through, the door slammed shut on the animals eager to rip them wide open.
They found themselves outside by the pool.

Okay, a more vicious animal.
