THE BIRDS

Source:

THE DEAD will rise soon.
The birds know the score.
They rise in the night
To take blood and more.

The winds will blow hard.
THE DEAD will walk tall.
The waves will rise high.
No one left at all.

We can run and hide.
Yellow through and through.
We can stand and fight.
Are you with me too?

We decide right now
What our plight will be.
I don’t want to die
Or washed out to sea.

Wolf approaches first.
Beast in beauty form.
Takes me in his arms.
Time for us to mourn.

THE DEAD LIKE THEIR GAMES

Source:

Trees and bushes fill the conservatory.
Wolf wants to show us what’s hidden inside.
Linda follows him into the bushes.
Her scream curdles my blood.
We run to her to find cages of snakes.
Their tongues slipping in and out of the holes.
Hungry for their next meal.
The trees draw closer to our group.
Lifting up their massive roots to take chase.
Time to leave this sorry example of the macabre.
The Dead like their games a little too much for comfort.
THE DEAD GAME

STUCK IN THE MIDDLE

Source:

Trees ahead of us.
Trees behind us.
Surrounding us.
Moving closer.
All we can see
Is that light ahead.
Leading us somewhere.
Leading us to the house.
Are we crazy to go there?

THE DEAD GAME

RIP

May The Dead rest in peace.
Way under the earth they may roam.
Far away from our shores.
As long as they find a new home.

THE BOOK

Book

Please take a closer look.
Something’s wrong with this book.
The words have come alive.
Breaking free to survive.
They are bursting forth with pride.
Smoke is pouring out from inside.
Words need to be loved and shared
And not forced alone and scared.
Let the stories come out and play.
They will serve to brighten your day.

A PLACE FOR ME

digitalfrontiers

A forest so green and pure,
I want to be there for sure.
Colors to brighten life
without a bit of strife.
This is definitely the place for me,
where I can be as free as I can be.
Pink and yellow flowers fill up the day.
No where prettier I can safely say.

DAISIES EVERYWHERE

A field of daisies taunt me.
Haunt my dreams every night.
So tall and thick I can’t see.
Cloying me with their sweet breath.

I’m always alone in this field.
Big daisies everywhere I look.
Facing me with their silly grins.
Thank god this is only a book.

ICE

A house of ice.
Sounds too nice?
It might be.
It’s next to the sea.
Ice statues populate the place.
Just don’t look into their face.
Tales of horror fall from their lips.
Better run away from all this.

THE DEAD GAME

IT COVERS ME

I

I’m covered in it.
It coats my face.
Creeping into my crevices.
Dripping from my fingers.
Stuck between my toes.
Yum!

LOCKED AWAY

Source:

The castle is dark and dreary.
It holds dungeons and locked cells.
Prisoners hidden within its wall.
Captives in mind and soul.
Searching for freedom.
Searching for the light.
Let them out.

Ignorance is a mighty prison.
It keeps you in the dark.
Locked away from ideas.
Away from humanity and empathy.
Break out from your prison.
And see the world for the first time.
