More people to party with.

I must speed up and lose you.

I don’t want any old baggage.

I want to be free and light.

The dark woods keeps them hidden.
I know that I’m forbidden
From walking this way.
I must get away.

I hear them moving through the trees.
Let me get away from them please.
The footsteps are getting louder.
The moon is now high and rounder.

The end for me and the town is near.

A crystal ball I don’t need to peer.

My head bowed and on a bended knee.

And this will still not end well for me.

DARK WATER

Dark water.
Night comes slowly.
Footsteps fall softly.
Boats drift by.
A cat meows.
Footsteps move closer.
I can see no one.
A noise by the garbage can.
A splash in the water.
Footsteps sounding louder.
An oar hitting the water.
Chains rattling.
More footsteps.
I turn around.
A flash of light.
Footsteps stop.
My ride's here.
My gondola is filled with flowers
and my true love.
A perfect end to the day.
