We all do this at times.

Sturdier like a tree.

Between the cacti grows flowers.
Amid the dryness sprouts life.
Spots of color to brighten the horizon.
In the midst of despair,
hope springs to life.
Life not only give us darkness,
but also gives us flashes of light to guide us
to better times ahead.
