THE SEARCH

Source:

THE SEARCH
In the quiet summer night,
Light shining from a great height,
A search until morning light.
We hold firm with all our might
That we find what we’re searching for,
Before the night ends, shuts the door.
We need to find her before it’s too late.
We refuse to leave this up to mere fate.
A shout, a cry is heard in the dark.
It must be her alone in the park.
The light shines on her pretty face.
She sees us and picks up her pace.
She is crying and laughing at the same time,
A perfect ending to this story of mine.

THE STATUE

THE DEAD GAME

What a beautiful garden.
The moon is shining down from above.
The wind is rustling the leaves.
It is quiet.
I’m alone.
The silence is broken
by crying sounds.
I thought I was alone.
The rest of the guests are inside.
There are statues up ahead.
Wait.
One statue is bent over.
It’s an angel.
And it’s crying.
With real tears.
How could this be?
It could be if it’s Oasis.
Stranger things
have happened here.
Do these statues
come alive at night
and become one of The Dead?
Have they been
stalking us at night?
She’s lifting her head.
I’m getting out of here.

IN THE SHADOWS

WHAT IS HIDING IN THE SHADOWS?
Do you see a person?
Do you hear something or someone?
Is that the wind crying?
I’m getting out of here.
